I’ve always found pillows interesting, shaped by sleep, perhaps a record of dreams, certainly a container of breath and secrets. My art is an invitation to reconsider traditional definitions of still life and landscape. These paintings are intimate studies of interiors yet the pillows especially, can be seen as metaphors for rocky landscape while cascades of flowing fabric bring to mind waterfalls.
